Canadian offensive lineman Landon Rice has signed a two-year contract extension with the Ticats, per sources.
The 28-year-old appeared in 34 games over three seasons with the Ticats making four starts. He’s a useful and versatile sixth offensive lineman who can play both guard and tackle.
Rice, a Brandon, Manitoba native, went unselected in the 2012 CFL draft due to a broken ankle. Hamilton originally signed the six-foot-six, 314-pound blocker as a free agent in 2013 and spent that entire season on the Ticats’ practice roster suiting up for his first CFL game in 2014.
