In reply to Phil Nicholson. Looking for a new DC? Probably didn't have much cap space left before Christmas to re-sign too many guys because any signing bonuses would have come off the 2016 cap. They hopefully will be getting some players back under contract over the course of the next 3-4 weeks although I can see some defensive FAs possibly waiting to see who the new DC is going to be before deciding what they want to do.

Given who the new GM is in Montreal if i were Darian’s agent i know who’s name would be at the very top of my dial list. No brainer here the Als are desperate for a proven talented signal caller, first to play then to mentor their two young QBs. Jones is taking a huge risk going low-ball on Darian Durant

In reply to Trips. totally agree. what has Jones done but get rid of every player that proved their worth time & time again. Dressler & Chick both wanted to be Riders & got screwed by Jones. Jones should do like any GOOD GM would have done & fired the coach ( himself ) after that pathetic year which will be repeated without Darien.

Chris Jones has done untold damage to the Rider organization that will take years to repair. Durant is worth every penny,and has done more for the organization than Jones ever will.
