Drew Willy, Argos agree to terms on new contract

Drew Willy and the Argonauts have agreed to a new contract, as first reported by Kirk Penton.

The 30-year-old quarterback was scheduled to receive a $100,000 off-season bonus on Jan. 15, but the pivot and team came together on a fresh pact in advance of that date.

Willy received a $70,000 signing bonus and an extra year on the deal, putting him under contract with Toronto through the 2018 season. If he starts every game in 2017, the six-foot-four, 220-pound signal caller will earn just over $305,000 and more than $415,000 should the same scenario play out in 2018.
