In reply to Sea of Dead. Refuted strangely. Two black witnesses I saw interviewed said JM was apologizing. The sherif who wasn't there said untrue. I mean who are you going to believe witnesses or the sheriff?

Yes Sea of Dead I fully concur with your comment. This case or unfortunate, tragic, and unnecessary incident will go no where. Being in the southern state of Louisana, racial overtones are paramount. IMO the admitted murderer should not have even been released at the time of questioning. If I was a betting man, and I am not, this POS will walk….

Finally a charge in this case but I suspect that we will see another hung jury no decision ruling in this case just like most others where a white man shots a black man dead in the U.S. Prejudice still reins supreme down there. So sad!!

I”m glad that the shooter has been charged. From what I’ve read, in NO WAY was he threatened by McKnight who reportedly was unarmed and trying to apologize. The “stand your ground” law should hold no water in this case.

Hmm, weird. The first time I read this article it was totally different. All it said was he was an ex-NFL player and that the shooter was arrested and charged with manslaughter. It didn’t have any of this other detail which looks like it was plucked from the New York Post article I also read this morning.
My bad…and yes, I do read much!

McKnight was signed to Saskatchewan’s practice roster on Sept. 26, and he ran for 150 yards in his first CFL start on Oct. 15 as the Roughriders beat Toronto 29-11. He finished the 2016 season with 228 rushing yards and 80 receiving yards over five games with Edmonton and Saskatchewan.”

How do you write for a CFL blog yet in the article mention he is an ex-NFL player and mention nothing about him playing CFL ball?
