Maybe we should:
a. Understand Louisiana law before commenting on Gasser’s release (it happens here too); and
b. Await all the facts to be uncovered in an investigation before we start leaping to conclusions.
His death, while tragic, is still under investigation. We are hardly equipped with enough details to pronounce on issues like cause and the legal system whilst here in Canada.

lol, paraphrasing this press conference for you: Individuals can protest the sheriff’s decision, but if this protest gets out of hand, those individuals will be going to JAIL (meanwhile a killer in their community is free roaming the streets while they conduct their investigation…).

Unfortunate that the U.S. has regressed to the “Chicago way”

If this goes down that the shooter was justified, and McKnight didn’t have a firearm, it sure puts a big hole in the maxim “an eye for an eye”.

But of course guns don’t kill people. People kill people. And sometimes that’s ok. [/sarcasm]
