Containing the Fun League nixes sideline TD celebrations for Grey Cup

Horses, chain saws and the Grey Cup don’t mix, according to the CFL.

The league has informed the Ottawa Redblacks and Calgary Stampeders that their signature post-touchdown celebrations won’t be allowed during the championship game at BMO Field on Sunday.

That means Quick Six, the white horse that runs down the sidelines of McMahon Stadium after Stampeder touchdowns, will be kept in the corral while Algonquin Loggersports Team that cuts a wood disc – fine, a wood cookie – after each Ottawa major, will be a sad shade of blue instead of, uh, red and black.
