Argos can have Tillman and Coach O. Take Kent too if they like. No way they go after Trestman. He will be way too expensive for a failed franchise to afford. I suspect if Trestman comes back to the CFL it will be in Montreal. Tho I would love to see what he could do with Zach.

In reply to Guest. Seems to me that both Barker and Milanovich were signed to contract extensions (2 or 3 years) when the new ownership took over. I have to wonder if they would be willing to pay out both of them AND also offer a generous contract to Trestman. The deep pockets may be there BUT are they willing to gamble that both the team and attendance will improve enough to be worth it?

Could never understand why Toronto traded for Willy. He couldn’t make it work in Winnipeg, why would the argos assume he could in Toronto? To me the gems are lurking in the back up roles as evidenced by Collaros, Harris, and last week Franklin. There’s nothing more defeating than rotating through first string under achievers.

Excellent format for a column, Drew and Justin. I offer only 1 suggestion: I strongly suggest you lead off EVERY edition with the intro “in this randomly…wild guesses either” or something similar for those who DON’T read this first edition and think that subsequent editions are gospel truth.
Re this edition – I would argue re use of “most” in the line “most around the league don’t believe…Chapdelaine”. “Most” – GMs? coaches? players? Maybe something more indefinite, like “some front-office people around the league…”
Other than that, while I haven’t always agreed with Steinauer’s D schemes, I believe if he were to leave it would be a big hole to fill here, and we might see a lot more players leave of their own accord.

My first thought when Trestman got fired was “there you go Toronto”, they have the ownership to make it happen. May mean Milanovich works again with Jones in Saskatchewan if Jones is thinking of making a change.
