I’m perturbed at Banks, period. Making good coin, one of the longer serving TC’s and leader, role model for the younger fans – and just decides to piss it all away. Unbelievably stupid…and selfish.

In reply to Terry Baxter. Agree. The good ship Austin has hit a giant iceberg and sinking fast. One blown call away from a GC in 2014 is what his legacy will be. Good try. But it's time for a change while there is still some talent left on the team. Trestman would be an excellent choice to lead this team out of the wilderness and back into contention...if available and interested.

I’m perturbed as to why this suspension NOW. Apparently the testing was some time ago and Speedy has known re probable suspension for 2 weeks or so. So, CFL, WHY NOW ?
Having been a fan of about 60 years and a season ticket holder for 45 years, have seen much of this. RB Strayhorn cut for drug (marijuana) possession, Woo-Woo-Wooster and Seth Miller, cut for drug (marijuana)possession. Philbrick cut after caught growing marijuana. BUT a generation later, Ticats traded FOR Bernie Ruoff who had been previously convicted for drug (marijuana) possession. I am quite willing to cut him some slack, seeing as how this is his first offense, NOT performance-enhancing drug, AND the CFL and CFLPA do so. AND I am still going to ask Santa Claus for a white Ticat jersey with name “BANKS”. I do NOT condone drug use, but I am compassionate.

Cats in a tight race to make first place or even a playoff spot. Speedy has a great idea…..’let’s go get high’. Way to go Speedy. This team is a train wreck on and off the field. Marc Trestman would turn this around. Kent must go and Tillman with him. I hope the Argos get on a roll and take second place. That may be the catalyst needed to get rid of Kent. Very disappointed in this whole team.

Hey, who isn’t disappointed but let’s keep this in perspective. Recreational not performance enhancing. Not what I prefer to see regardless but then I am not Speedy. If his teammates can handle his transgression – accept, forgive, tolerate, whatever it may be – then I can as well.
By the way if anyone is looking for a tent, there must be a great opportunity with all those tents that have been folded by front-runner fans. The season ain’t over till it’s over! Tigers, eat ’em raw!

You are forgetting there, Mr. Snake, that part of the reason why he did not stick with the Redskins and came to the CFL was not just his penchant for fumbling the football but his off field activities as well. This isn’t some young kid who gets caught up in the moment and makes a bad choice. Damn rights he should have known better, esp being on a struggling team with must win games ahead. My question, and it’s a fair one to ask in circumstances like these – he got caught this time…how many times did he NOT get caught?

We had an Olympian pole vaulter who had a hook up and lo a banned substance turned up in his system. BB might have had a stressor and found the outlet a banned substance. Or as the Olympian found out a hook up might have been his date rape. Or reality the influence supposedly self named The Shark influenced his attitude and judgement. Another of the CFL’s problem men allowed in.
