Former Als head coach Marc Trestman fired by Ravens

Former Alouettes head coach Marc Trestman has been relieved of offensive coordinator duties with the Baltimore Ravens, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

While NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports: “There was internal frustration with play-calling and run-game handling by OC Marc Trestman.”

The 60-year-old coach was the bench boss for the Montreal Alouettes from 2008-2012. He compiled a 59-31 record during five winning seasons in La belle province. Trestman led the Als to consecutive Grey Cup victories in 2009 and 2010.

After all that success north of the border, the Chicago Bears hired Trestman to be their head coach. He was let go after two seasons in the Windy City managing a 13-19 mark.

Baltimore hired Trestman in January of 2015, where he lasted one full season and five games with the Ravens. The team ranked 23rd in points scored (18.8) and offensive yards per game (338.2) in 2016.
