It will be interesting to see if this stadium is subject to similar troubles that have plagued CFL stadiums in Winnipeg, Ottawa and Hamilton.

All three are new, yet have numerous problems. Winnipeg’s has had numerous issues with construction quality being linked to flooding or major cracking in concrete. The City of Winnipeg is on the hook for over $35 million in repair costs.

Hamilton and Ottawa have many legal issues surrounding their buildings. Many sub-contractors have been forced to use the courts to get paid for their work. Their are counter suits citing poor quality work.

So, management in Hamilton and Ottawa either hired slipshod trades people or are willfully withholding their payments. Neither circumstance reflects honourably on the CFL.

Let’s hope Regina is spared this dilemma. This could be the best CFL stadium in Canada.

Saskatchewan has the hardest water in the country; from a 2014 study I looked at every city/town was very hard except Prince Albert which was merely hard. Komsach had a crazy 72.5 grains per gallon and Regina a mere 29.
