Shawn Lemon appears to have enjoyed his former boss taking a good hit.
During the first half of Ottawa’s home game against B.C., returner Chris Rainey broke a long return and was tackled out of bounds. The subsequent collision knocked Redblacks general manager Marcel Desjardins to the ground with the 50-year-old personnel man’s left knee appearing to buckle as Rainey made contact with him.
Lemon, a former Ottawa defensive lineman who engaged in a Twitter spat with Desjardins after signing with Saskatchewan this winter (he’s now with the Argos but that’s a whole other story), tweeted around the same time Desjardins was knocked down.
Hahahahhha now there is a bday gift for me lol #Loveit
In subsequent tweets, Lemon claims he was out for birthday dinner that he could care less about the Ottawa Redblacks. But the timing is suspicious – to say the least.
