Peak performance: Canadian OL Revenberg revving high

Brandon Revenberg’s draft stock seems to be revving at the peak time.

The Windsor, Ontario native has been flown around the country to workout for Winnipeg, Calgary, Ottawa, Hamilton, Saskatchewan and visit Toronto in advance of the 2016 CFL Draft.

A three-year starter at Grand Valley State University, located in Allendale, Michigan, Revenberg played every position along the offensive line during his time with the Lakers.

As Revenberg looks to begin a pro career he seems set to follow a similar path to two-time CFL All-Star offensive lineman, Josh Bourke. The current Toronto Argo grew up in Windsor, played university football at GVSU and was selected by Montreal in the third round, 21st overall in 2004. The 23-year-old Revenberg could get picked even higher than Bourke who has turned into an elite starter in the three-down league.

Teams across the CFL really like Revenberg’s versatility and the fact that he’s a proven NCAA commodity. Even though he wasn’t ranked among the top 20 prospects in the final Scouting Bureau, expect the six-foot-four, 298-pound blocker to be selected in the first or second round of the draft – or a dark horse No. 1 overall pick.
