Canadian defensive lineman Dylan Ainsworth has signed a one-year contract with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, per Canadian Football League sources.
Ainsworth was drafted by the Riders in the second round, 11th overall in the 2014 CFL Draft. In two seasons with Saskatchewan he’s played in 35 games and racked up 30 special teams tackles.
The Western Ontario product has become a key contributor on special teams for the Riders and developed into a rotational player at defensive end. He was the No. 3 rated Canadian special teams player on 3DownNation’s position-specific rankings.
