I know that hurts. In Austins exit interview on ticats.ca he says he wants the coaching staff to stay together and specifically mentions Reinbold and Condell by name – but not Orlando. I wonder if Orlando will become the goat for the letdown on 2nd and 25 and 3 man rush etc – similar to the Music City Miracle letdown when the Bills special team coaches all got canned.

If you count on your fingers it is 29 seasons – 2014 and 2015 would be 2 seasons but 2015 – 2014 = 1

Trouble is 1987 + 29 = 2016.

If it is meant as a prediction of no GC in 2016, then the wording should be “Will be” instead of “Still just”.

To think that the Ti-Cats came that close to winning the Eastern Final with a 4th string QB against a 1st string QB, Ottawa should be embarrassed that they only won by one TD and that at the very end of the game. Our players did phenomenal given the circumstances and I don’t think this year was not a success. I think it was a great success with a learning curve. They almost won this game against Ottawa in the beat up condition they were in injury wise, I would say they are a hell of a team and Ottawa should not be gloating near as much as they are.

Hank has a bloated ego to go along with his big smile. Even after the head of officiating said that Simoni’s tackle on him was good Hank did not back down. I always liked him, but not anymore after that whiny baby comment about “Players like that should not be in the league”. Get a grip – you are a QB and you are going to get hit. If you think you are special – you’re not, and if you won’t want to re-injure your leg, get off the field.

It’s rare for a CFL team to have two talented, experienced QBs at the ready. One could fault Austin for not developing his back-up QBs when the opportunity was there … like the blow-out win in Edmonton, where he used Collaros exclusively because he wanted to give him the chance to get MOP stats. And how did that work out?

But I believe that it’s really a CFL issue that needs to be addressed because several teams lost their starting QB for a considerable time during the season, reducing the entertainment level for fans of those teams to the point where gate receipts and TSN viewership declined.

Perhaps more practice time needs to be incorporated in the next players agreement to allow for the development of back-up QBs so that relatively competent replacements are available when starters go down.

The league must find a solution for this problem asap.

That would fit better … though nine wins, eight wins and six wins while being underachieving, still don’t strike me as qualifying as “best”.

There’s at least one, two or three CFL teams that from a playoff perspective, finished higher.

I doubt Steve will chime in to clarify but I am wondering if he meant so far this decade which would be 2010 – 2015 – ie. the 80’s were a decade, the 90’s were a decade and 2000-2009 was a decade.

This seems like silly hyperbole (or maybe letting one’s disappointment get out of hand).

By my count, a decade back is 2005 to 2015, where 2005 through 2008 are five, four, three and three win seasons.

Call me crazy but I doubt anyone was call the Cats a good team, let alone a better team.
