Robinson, who played his college football at Temple, was signed by the Ticats as a free agent on April 27 and participated in the team’s mini-camp last month. He was expected to attend training camp at the end of May.

He leaves behind a young daughter, Avery Marie.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Robinson family at this time,” Hamilton head coach Kent Austin said in a statement.
